This flowerpot was designed for the ESA (European Space Agency) call for ideas to 3d print on the Moon. The base pot, irrigation bowl and cover can be made out of 3d printed lunar regolith or basalt. Inside is a supportive feeder tube that carries the weight of the bowl and cover. The walls of the tube are perforated to allow water and nutrients enter the soil deeper. The tube can be made out of used rocket parts. The irrigation bowl is a diametrically ‘w’ shaped dish to allow a water buffer slowly escape trough tiny holes in the bottom of the dish. The cover functions as both a design element as well as a protective closure and also contains the tube lighting.
